Cybersmart GIF

 Today Phil taught us how to make a GIF. We had to make one about cybersmart. Here is the one I made.

Our StopMotion

 Me and Charmy were working on this Stop Motion project for a long time, and we are finally done.  We worked so hard and half of the time it got deleted. We were so happy it was finally finished. This is the stop motion video below.

 On Friday, Marble Run with my dad. He did the drilling for me. We made it with cardboard and an old drawer. I decorated it. It took a long time but it turned out good. It was part of the Art activity for our class.

Stop Motion animation

 

Yesterday we were working on making a stop motion about Kindness. I was working with Charmy and Reuben. We had lots of fun. Me and Charmy did some work at home. We made dogs and curtains. We planned the whole thing and now we only have to record it.We didn't finish it yet but we will work on it today.

Weaving with Paper

 Last Friday, me and my class were doing science. For science we we were learning how to harvest Harekeke. We watched a video about it. Then we watched a video of how to show kaitiakitanga to our environment. Then we did weaving using strips of paper instead of Harekeke leaves. I used a video to weave. I made a turtle using purple and red paper. First I wove a square. I cut out the circle and glued it on the square I had wove. Then I cut the circle out and glued it on a turtle shape.

 Today is the main day of Diwali. I made a song for Diwali. Here it is below.

Tivaevae Art

 Yesterday I made a Tivaevae art. A Tivaevae is what Cook Island people weave. Here is my art that I made using paper. I used blue and white paper. Here is the link to a video I used. Hope you like it and try to make one too.

Pasafika Pattern

Today I made a Pasafika Pattern and I drew it on a piece of paper. Here is a photo.👇 The top pattern, represents the shark's teeth which is an important symbol for Pacafic people. The second row represents the waves of the Pacafic Ocean. The third line represents the weaving that they do. The fourth design is and M shape, with a line going down the middle.

Nature Walk

 

On Friday our teacher gave us a task to do a nature walk. We had to walk around in our backyard/garden and try to find the letters of our name. Art Is Fun!

On the weekend, I made a paper boat after watching a video of how to make one. I decided to decorate it. I drew patterns on it and it looked good! Then I watched a clip of how to draw a butterfly and drew  one. Then my mum coloured it in for me and helped me put glitter on it. I also made a rocket out of paper rolls. Then I made two puppets  out of old, little socks. I also watched a video for that. Meanwhile, my sister was making a pencil holder out of paper rolls with my dad for help with the printing and the hot glue gun. Then my dad helped me by sticking the eyes, hair and a bow on my puppet. I also made a building out of toothpicks. My whole  family helped, so we also spent family time while doing art. Fun with the Juniors

 On Tuesday, the senior classes had the junior classes coming to visit their class. Room 1 came in our classroom and all of us got buddies. The junior class had less students in their class, so some of us had to share a buddy. I was with my friend Anna and a junior called Mariana. She was really playful, smart and fast at doing things. We played at morning tea,play break 1 and play break 2. She even made a game called Find the Ball. In the game there is a hider. The hider hides the tennis ball and hides herself.The hider then calls the rest of the players and they have to find the hider first give them a high five and  then go and find the ball. The first person to do that, gets to have a turn to be the hider. We also made a big Matariki star. We had to go with our buddies and  decorate a diamond shaped piece of yellow paper. Mariana was really fast at it and good at drawing so we got to two of them! At the end of the day, when everyone was tired, we played duck-duck- goose. We also played a game called stuck in the mud. I enjoyed the day and it was really fun.
