Maori Language Week and Myths

This week it is Maori language week. Today I learned a new Maori myth. These are some words that I learnt in the stories.

Tane - Maori God of Forest

Marai - Where Maori people pray

Etu - Stand up

Ringa Pakia - Slap your thighs

The myth was about Tane. It was really interesting. Here is a link for you to listen to it.

I really like how you shared the link so we can have a listen. I also like that you shared your learning!

Why did you find it interesting? What was your favourite part?

Looking forward to the next post,
    Miss Laxa

    1. Hi Ms Laxa,
I just like myths and legends. It is my favourite. My favourite part was when it started and when it was showing us the three baskets.
